What version of IE are you running?? Do you have Netscape at all?? The fastest version of Netscape to run is 4.7 w/ 128bit encryption. You must download the security update. If your system is running @ 1 GHZ, you should double your RAM capacity to 256. Make sure its SDRAM. What level cache do you have and tell me about your BUS. I have not used Datek in over two years. I am not surprised at all to hear there are yet still problems with streamer. In the past, I always found my experience with them to be pretty unstable. To test quality make sure you try bringing up streamer with other browswers as well. The IE 6.0 in conjunction w/ XP can be pretty fussy without certain plugins or updates. Other then that, I would need more details from you. |

THE DATEK STREAMER DON'T WORK IN BOTH MY BRAND NEW COMPUTERS. I CALLED HELP DESK AND THEY SUGGESTED ME TO PURGE THE TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES OR DOWNLOAD SOME JAVA PROGRAM FROM MICROSOFT'S WEB PAGE. BOTH DID NOT WORK. I AM TRADING WITHOUT REALTIME STREAMER.
I VAVE ABOUT 1GHZ PROCESSOR SPEED AND OVER 128 MB MEMORY AND OPERATING SYSTEM IS WINDOW ME AND WINDOW XP. I USE DSL. WHY DATEK'S STREAMER NOT WORKING IS MYSTERIOUS TO ME. I AM NOT SURE IF OTHER PEOPLE ALSO HAVE SAME PROBLEM. |

I use Datek Streamer for time and sales and as a backup for RealTick Analyst. The streamer is colorful and I like the the trade by trade charting along side the time and sales window. It adds a visual aspect to the trades going through. This software only costs $10 a month if you don't trade at Datek (which I hope you don't) with a minimum of $500 in your account. You get 20 quotes on a level 1 window, a time and sales window, a Island book view window, and a 10 minute trade by trade charting window. The major drawback is it often lags and is entirely unrealiable the first 10-15 minutes after the open. I recommend it for backup quotes due its cheap cost. |

Streaming pretty suffices if quotes is what you need but charting is severly limited. The quote and price trend display is very nice but i don't really know if they are useful or not. Not really stable, quote sometimes just stop or stall. Free so can't expect too much :) |
