This software enables portfolio level optimisation and fully automated walk forward optimisation. It now has full intra-day capabilities. In terms of speed, it makes Tradestation look like a crippled snail. |

As far as I'm concerned, this backtesting platform has raised the bar and set a new standard. I hummed and harred about buying this software for a long time, even after taking the free trial. After finally buying it, it FAR exceeded my expectations. There is far more depth and sophistication in the product than first meets the eye - this is a credit to its ease of use, but robustness when you want to dig deeper and take things further. The programming language is intuitive and so far, I have found, without limits on what you can do.
Another way of looking at this product - they are selling a fantastic and fast backtesting platform (for OED data) which in and of itself is worth every penny. But it ALSO comes with a bunch of trading systems including a FULL implementation of the Original Turtle Trading System. Others have charged as much as the platform for anyone of the systems alone.
One caveat, if you are primarily a daytrader, this is probably not the product for you. It is aimed at swing traders and trend followers - both equities and futures. I trade both short and long term systems and the platform does handle intraday stopouts (bouncing tic type situations) but does not currently take intraday feeds.
That being said, IMHO, if you want to get a more robust and well tested understanding of the markets by running thousands of backtests on PORTFOLIOS of products, get this product. |

I've tested different methods using this software, its a great way to test out something before using actual funds. Plus quick response time for custom solutions and relatively inexpensive.

I have expressed my great satisfaction with this software many times and do not wish to repeat myself here. Anyone living in London or Switzerland is welcome to PM me and come along and look at my copy of the software before buying. I trade a large basket of futures using a mechanical trend following system. I arrived at my system aften endless experimentation and backtesting using this excellent product.
Additionally, the vendor's forum at http://www.tradingblox.com/forum/ is a source of great knowledge and inspiration. |
