Years ago I decided I wanted to FIRE and decided I needed 3M to maintain lifestyle, grow principle, account for inflation. I(we) can do this next month but the confidence in the comfort level (excess monthly/yearly funds) is not quite enough so we are waiting for 1.5 yrs or 4M whichever comes first. Successful trading (investing) has shortened the length of time needed to FIRE. Cornyx, ya really ought to spill ur own beans on this also.
