TSLA/SCTY merger. Does it make any sense?

  1. It's just crazy, I was bearish on Tesla before, but now?! What are they doing guys? They need cash to ramp up the production of their cars, but they're burning on SCTY which isn't related to the core business at all! WTF guys?

  2. Some people say "Musk is trying to create an ecosystem", IMO everything is much simpler - SCTY is in trouble and he tries to bail them out at any price.

  3. Maybe he's rolling it up to sell to someone larger. Apple maybe?

  4. This guy either blows up or makes it big. He's playing with fire, but I think he's got big plans in mind. Solar-powered cars are a real possibility IMO.

  5. $SCTY wants to cut down growth and borrowing.. Easier to do outside public scrutiny indide$TSLA

I think Elon Musk is preparing for a Mars colony buildup. Ie. everything electrical, using solar energy etc...
    I should know it, isn't it? :D

I don't get that. TSLA is public they will read their P&ls and balance sheet and figure out what SCTY is doing. And you better believe on the earnings calls they will ask "how is your SCTY division doing?" I think Musk is just trying to get back control to get in on the right track. Market is hating the move so far we'll see what happens

  8. there is a zero correlation between two businesses, of course the market won't like it.

  9. I think there might me a real problem inside SolarCity, maybe there are some serious financial problems which they'll try to hide now.

  10. If there was a stock that really didn't need this news right now it's TSLA. You longs are in trouble.
