Trying to understand Crude Oil Futures

Hi,

I would like to trade HOU and HOD on the TMX exchange.

But I'm trying to understand how crude oil futures work.

For example, today (March 20), the April contract expires and moves to May. However, the spread between April and May is 1.00+. So when April expires today and trades on Sunday. Will it be around the price of April?

No it will be approximately the same price as on Fri.

 

There are likely very few viewers with any practical experience trading those products on TMX versus those who trade Crude on Nymex and ICE exchanges. Patience.
