Multicore pre-release version now available Special Offer: Buy TradersStudio Professional before March 30, 2014, and get a pre-release version of TradersStudio Multicore FREE Speed is money in trading. That's why we are developing the next generation of trading analysis software: TradersStudio Multicore. This new version takes full advantage of the processing power of today's modern multicore computers to optimize and test trading strategies faster than ever before. On a six-core machine, a commodity optimization session across 31 markets runs 9.5 times faster than the current version of TradersStudio. This means an optimization that took a week before will just take 18 hours. If you buy TradersStudio Professional before March 30, 2014, you are eligible to receive a pre-release version of TradersStudio Multicore at no charge. This will include all future pre-release versions of the upgrade, including a 64-bit version and the final release version that will include an optimized user interface. Ask yourself: How much is your time worth?

We released another version of Multicore over the weekend. Feedback from the beta testers has been very good.

The Multicore version requires upgrades to all of our TradersStudio addins. We are making major upgrades to most of these. For example cycle studio now contains three different algorithms for cycle analysis.

This is absolutely fantastic news. I’m just trying out the newest beta now. I have a question though, are the other add-ins on the site multi-core enabled or are they going to be ported over in the future? So far the beta seems to be a lot quicker on my computer, so I’m liking that.

I messed up my last post. Yes we are doing major upgrades to all of the addins to support multicore and also adding more features to them.

Yes, we did a benchmark, using my six core machine, which is 2 years old. TradersStudio Multicore between the rewriting and multicore support using a simple triple MA system with 23 markets is 16.5X faster than before.

I been getting a few emails and want to clear up this confusion. If you buy TradersStudio Professional new you will get the Multicore version also. You will also get upgrades to multicore though the 64 bit version free.

You can also have both versions on the same machine

    Murray,

Can you shed more light on the new features of TradersStudio multithread? Apart from improved speed, what are the new enhancements?

In particular, I would like to know if future version of tradersstudio will provide interface to connect with the R statistical package. FYI, Amibroker alrady has a dll/plug-in that allows it to connect with R.

We are upgrading TradersStudio in stages, TradersStudio Multicore, prerelease though version 1.2 will just be faster version. After that we will release versions with new interface and more advance features. We plan to create a 64 bit version also.
I am not sure about the R-Plugins and how they work. I would need to release that.
