Top 3 volume producers on STIRS?

  1. Hi there.
I could not find the answer to my question anywhere.

Where can I find a list of top 3 volume producers on STIRS, ICE Europe (before LIFFE), specifically I am looking for Short Sterling. Is this information available somewhere?

  2. You mean specific firms? If your firm is among the top X, CME will tell you your ranking, and I believe ICE will also. If you're seeking another firm's ranking... why is it any of your business?

  3. Yes, I mean specific firms.
It is very my business, because exchanges offer lower trading costs to top volume producers. Since I have a high volume strategy, every cent boosts my profits substantially. So it makes sense to me to trade via a firm that can offer the lowest trading costs (even while overcharging the commissions, which is a standard practice in prop business).

  4. My bad -- I took you to mean end-user clients, rather than clearing firms.

  6. Speculate

    Speculate

rsj have their own approach. They are also DMM so wont be paying any exchange fees I believe.

He's probably best looking at arcades and seeing who will offer the best rates. The big prop firms that are doing the major business already have their own algo and processes in place so may not in some cases be interested in taking someone on who has their own ideas.

  7. Interesting, a Czech company being the biggest player on the market. I would be worried though about them creating an algo following my trades. I've heard about traders being tagged, and seeing orders appearing exactly at the same time they put theirs (while trading at a discretionary prop firm, and the idea was that they were being tagged by someone from the outside).

From what I see, in Europe the ultimate destination for discretionary prop traders is Marex. I don't know if they offer cheaper exchange rates, but for sure they offer lower brokerage costs.
