The new TT platform... when, where ??

Does TT handle the risk check or does the broker? Also, are there any plans to open up TT's internal code editor for ADL so that users can create their own blocks? Thanks Drew.

The risk check happens inside the platform itself using the settings provided by the account administrator (in this case an executing broker). These risk checks cascade up and down the account hierarchy so you can set your own limits on sub-accounts if for example you wanted to segregate some algos/strategies in accounts with tighter restrictions than others.

Regarding ADL and custom blocks, I'm not sure we have plans to do precisely what you describe, but what is definitely in the works is the ability for you to have one algo call another. What that means is that you could write an algo using our C SDK and ADL could talk to that algo and vice versa. I don't want to over sell this as the feature is still very immature, but it's at least where we are going. While that doesn't let you necessarily build your own blocks, I think it's close.

Finally, if you're jumping into the demo at trade.tt, please give us feedback. You can do this in the application itself by clicking 'send feedback' under the Support menu.

    Hi all,

We've published this page to our website showing the firms that are currently signed on to distribute TT:
    https://www.tradingtechnologies.com/the-tt-platform/tt-platform-availability/

We'll update this list as more firms are added, so you should continue to check the page for updates. If your FCM isn't listed here yet, you can contact them directly for more information or reach out to your local TT rep for assistance.

But is this list accurate? For example, AMP is listed but they don't have it. And they have been saying "manana, manana" for a very long time now. And if you ask if, "tomorrow," they will be offering both versions (TT Standard AND TT Pro) they have repeatedly and steadfastly refused to answer. So, an accurate list would be appreciated.

Amp will not have availability until late October or November. Called a few weeks ago. Advantage is charging 1200 and don't seem to offer the transactional pricing model.

All, in response to some of these questions, please see http://www.elitetrader.com/et/index.php?threads/tt-platform-availability.294680/.

Gambit, regarding a broker charging a set price and not offering a transactional model, I would simply reiterate that you can setup a commercial relationship with TT directly to take advantage of the transactional model and can still have your broker share an executing account with you. If you need assistance making that happen, PM me.

  9. I am a trader of 10+ years trying to set up my own account on TT on the low cost transactional model
Dealing direct would be ideal !
    1) Drew - Can you offer LIFFE on the Transactional model because AMP seemed to have tried and failed to be able to do so as I have been trying through them.
    2) I would be interested if anyone knows a broker that is going to share an executing account

    1) Yes, we don't distinguish between markets in any of our commercials so a transactional model is available for any and all markets. We have not finished onboarding all Liffe products so if you PM me the specific products you care about I can get you more specific updates on their availability.

    2) On TT, all brokers will be "sharing" an executing account with their customers. That's the way the data model itself is structured so brokers share accounts (and configure risk and market access on those accounts) with other 'companies' registered in the platform. This distinction between broker and end user firm is especially important now that we are market data vendors for CME and will eventually be for other markets. We must distinguish between the trading firm users and broker users for data vending purposes.

So the critical questions in your case are: have we onboarded the products you care about and which brokers can you work with to trade those products? PM me the list of products you need. In the meantime, any of the brokers listed who have credentials for those products can be expected to begin supporting them on TT when they open up their support beyond the early adopters they've setup thus far.
