So you think you can swing/position trade spreads do you?

Come on, own up who is playing in this market? holding trades from Days/Weeks/Months? looking to add a few strategies. Who's gunna start us off?

 

BundBobl has been trending nicely since it broke out of the range. See weekly chart attached. Shame there is no exchange traded spread available with lower margins.

 

that's all I do. That's all I ever do. Days/Weeks/Months. But sometimes hours, and over here in forex sometimes minutes/seconds.

in forex everything is spread. That's all forex is is one big spread. No currency can go up unless some other currency goes down.

I do like to dabble in forex but this thread was intended for future spreads.

 

aren't we all betting on the future? Other than new crop vs old crop what the hell difference does it make? Especially if you are just going to roll out? A spread is a spread is a spread is a spread. Even if you are just buying SPY it is a spread against USD.

 

maybe start a new thread if you want to talk about forex. just an idea.

 

ok, cool, I don't want to talk about forex, just spreads, and that's all I do is spread trade, and every dollar in your account is spread against something, good luck to your thread, especially as to how it doesn't interfere with my new forex thread.

 

I always thought when you start a thread and since you said you want to add a few strategies you would have started by giving a strategy? Otherwise why would anyone give away a strategy that possible makes consistent money in something that isn't traded by the masses. And to be honest, since spread trading is seldom written about, those who have good trading plans on spreads is certainly not going to give it out to the masses. Spreads are unique avenues to generate profits that tend to work more often based on seasonals, and combine that with systems for longer term can make spreads even more of an edge that outright trading long or short. LOL, took me two years to develop it, test it, forward test it, automate it and it will never be given or sold. But I have fifteen methods that don't work or don't work well enough.

 

I hear ya, the thing about spreads is you have some sort of frame of reference. How high can it go? I don't know, at one time in history probably higher than you or anybody else thought it could ever go.

But how wide can the spread go? Now we are talking about real money.
