That's an interesting site. Not as good as ET was in its heyday but it fills the gap that was left since ET made the disappointing decision to eliminate its Broker Review section.
I first noticed those reviews about a 1 year ago and was going to post a link. But the On a scale of 1-10 your trust score is only 1 on that site. The higher the score (1-10), the more reliable the user.
Did you see the date of the review? August 2014 = newbie .... newbie with a score other than 1? Show me. FXForex = A "smart ass" who can sit on an ice cream cone and tell you what flavor it is
This reviewer of EliteTrader shoots himself in the foot by undoing all his negatives (Elite Trader is a major dissapointment. Basically, 99% of the posts are crap and 1% are great) ... with these I actually think that EliteTrader does a very good job of monitoring that kind of stuff. But Elite Trader is essentially a completely open forum (with regard to attitude, if not content). The level of dialogue on the Elite Trader forums is definitely more advanced than in other investing circles. As far as the positive things about Elite Trader, it does make entertaining reading during downtime. And, because there are so many people posting, the forum incidentally acts as a news forum where traders can find information about recent events in the trading world. For example, if you need first-hand information from other traders about a topic such as the flash crash, then you'll find it on ET. Although I have never looked at the trader journals section of the forum very much, I think this section of the site would be very useful to a newbie trader who wants to look over the shoulder of a real money trader. There is a broad enough selection of journals so that a newbie trader will not have a hard time finding a journal that has the kind of strategy that they are looking for (e.g. contrarian swing trading, writing credit spreads, etc). crème de la crème = The best thing about the site, by far, is the high volume of posts and the varied categories of forums. If you want to start a conversation with 20 other traders about the wheat/corn spread, then you'll be able to do it on ET but you probably wouldn't be able to do it anywhere else on the internet. http://www.thinktrade.net/website-review-elite-trader.php

ET review from a broad view: Inhabited by lowest to middle rung of the lower middleclass - as are ALL trading sites. It cannot be any other way for if it were, the game would evaporate. Trading sites akin to lots of talk about $10 per hour jobs = very low ambition. Are there realms of astonishingly good traders out there? Absolutely! Do they go to forums? NO! Are they going to give out secrets? NO! Heck even with the $10 per hour traders at ET secrets have to be ferreted out, if any. Still worth visiting ET? YES! Great education for the non-herd participant to observe and apply Crowd behavior 101 rules AfterLOS still likes ET. I'll be back
ET review deleted posts: AfterLos posts got deleted from a 950 to 895 count approx. all in the matter of a few days. But it gets better - now an entire thread was deleted. ET striving to become a tiny version of Police State USA? http://www.youtube.com/user/rambone5 Yawn!
