Anyone know of a trading firm in NYC that doesn't require you to prop trade in their offices? I have a customer account (AMTD & IBKR) and have no interest in depositing money in a prop firm (have more than enough BP), but want to trade alongside other traders (tired of trading from home). I have contacted the usual suspects: WTS, T3, Chimera etc.. and offered all of them a fair amount to pay for my trading seat. All of them mentioned compliance concerns with a "customer" sitting with "prop traders" (still do not understand the difference: we all trade). I cant seem to find a trading floor that would agree to such an arrangement. Any ideas?
search for deskspace companies in New York. According to another thread on this site all the deskspace companies have traders in them.
DT3, just wanted to thank you for alerting me to the ad on Craigslist. I met with the proprietor of the office and I am set to start within a week. The location and overall atmosphere suits me just fine.
