Hi all, I am about to start a new role as a Power Scheduler for an energy company in Europe. I will be working in the intraday desk on a shift rota, my final goal is to move into trading in 1 to 2 years. I would like to ask to anyone of you who have experience of the role: what could I do in this transitionary period from my current job to the new one to hit the ground running from day one? Bear in mind that my scheduling to trading transition is now 9 years in the past, was in the US which I am lead to believe is quite different than European power trading, and happened during a very different time in the power/gas markets.
