I am looking for trading software with capabilities similar to TDA's ThinkOrSwim order ticket; i.e., no programming, just straightforward order entry as this is the only feature I need and I am not good at programming. I need to place: a futures limit order (for ES) with an offset amount linked to the bid set to be submitted at a specific time (hh:mm:ss) with the capability of entering an additional condition. As you can see in the picture above, ToS has this capability. Also, IB's TWS has this capability too using their Accumulate/Distribute algo. Also, both ToS and the IB's A/D algo somehow automatically sync to the exchange time even if my computer clock is a little off. By this I mean if my computer clock is three seconds off, both programs compensate for this and submit the order at the precise exchange time (i.e., the correct time). This too is an important feature that I need. I already downloaded and studied NinjaTrader 7 but to my surprise it apparently does NOT have this feature. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.) If you know of other trading software that can do this one task I would appreciate that information as I am looking into opening an account at AMP and would need to know I can do this before I open it. (X Trader probably has this feature but it is too expensive.) What about MultiCharts.net (the free version offered by AMP) or maybe CQG QTrader? Or any other of the "free" software programs offered by AMP, but only those that do not raise the commission rate too much. Much appreciated.
take a look at QTrader: http://help.cqg.com/qtrader/default.htm#!Documents/howautotradeandtradesystemsinteract.htm it offers everything you wanted and more. you do need to program a little bit, but QTrader is much more intuitive than Ninja; plus CQG support is excellent.
