The website's Canadian parent, Avid Life Media, said it had since secured the site and was working with law enforcement agencies to trace those behind the attack. "Everybody says Ottawa is a sleepy town and here we are with 200,000 people running around on each other," said municipal employee Jon Weaks, 27, as he took a break at an outdoor cafe near the nation's Parliament. "I think a lot of people will be questioned tonight at dinner," added colleague Ali Cross, 28. Some 189,810 Ashley Madison users were registered in Ottawa, a city with a population of about 883,000, making the capital No. 1 for philanderers in Canada and potentially the highest globally per capita, according to previously published figures from the Toronto-based company. Whoa! I lived in Ottawa for 3 years. Terrible place full of freaks, infirmed, homeless and punks but peaceful since most are stoned. Now i see cheaters too--- Ill never go back to that POS sh(thole. surf

I lived there-- in the most expensive building in the city for 3 years-- so i speak from experience. The only positive was an excellent french restaurant and peaceful homeless. With that said, there are more indigents and now i learn cheaters than any city i have ever seen.
Just out of curiosity - what exactly is wrong with the Miami area again? Given the choice between Ottawa and Miami, I'd choose the sunshine state (with no income taxes, etc) over the North every day of the week and twice on Sunday!

For me that would be a tough choice. Both cities are too far from the Rockies, "the marrow of the world". Ottawa has horrid winters, but it is closer to true wilderness than Miami. Hmm.

LOL... I commute to Toronto every week. I use to think that they have a number of odd people around here. However the locals inform me that they sent their worst freaks to Ottawa... usually by electing them to office.
