I am trying to teach myself to code and build trading systems and dont mind putting the work in. However, I could use some help getting pointed in the right direction so I can stop spinning my wheels. I want to be able to trade equities, futures, and forex in a application that allows coding for trading systems and backtesting. I have found tradestation but after reviewing their fee structure and minimum accounts it seems like Id get nickel and dimed to death. (Starting with about 70k) Id be open to software that isnt linked to a brokerage that has live data feeds and meets my criteria also. I would just manually input the orders when I received the trade signals. Bonus quesion: Which programming language should I learn that best translates to creating trading systems?
