    “My Heart Is Afraid that it will have to suffer," the boy told the alchemist one night as they looked up at the moonless sky.

    "Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams.”

    The ancient Masters were profound and subtle.
    Their wisdom was unfathomable.
    There is no way to describe it;
    all we can describe is their appearance.

    They were careful
    as someone crossing an iced-over stream.
    Alert as a warrior in enemy territory.
    Courteous as a guest.
    Fluid as melting ice.
    Shapeable as a block of wood.
    Receptive as a valley.
    Clear as a glass of water.

    Thank you everyone for the motivational quotes. Keep them coming as they come to you.

    Lately, I've been getting back into fitness and eating healthy again after about a year of the "see-food diet" lol. :)

    Been reading a book "The new toughness training for sports". I didn't realize it was published in the 90's when I bought it lol. But the author is a sports psychologist. And bought it to get more motivated in that area of my life. The front of the book "Mental, Emotional, and Physical Conditioning from One of he World's Premier Sports Psychologists". - James E. Loehr

    But the main thing I wanted to share are a couple of quotes from the book:

    "When old man fear has you by the throat, look him straight in the eye, smile inside, and with all the conviction and passion you can pull from deep within your soul, think-or better yet, say out loud: ' I LOVE IT! ' "

    "Ray 'Boom Boom' Mancini had the heart of a lion. The intensity of his training was greater than anything I had ever witnessed in my work with athletes. Ray used a library of humor tapes to help balance the stress of training. Twenty to thirty minutes of laughter daily helped to break the cycle of stress and increased his capacity for deep sleep."
