URF was banned for making approximately 4 posts to a thread about TA vs Fundamental Analysis within the TA section of the forum in a direct and blatant violation of his final warning. I know this because I saw the offending posts. I did not report them because I had become accustomed to accepting it wasn't worth the effort but after hearing URF had been banned I noticed those posts had been deleted. Logical analysis of the timeline indicates they were the final straw that tipped the scales. Every single small change has a significant affect when extrapolated along a timeline and projected out into the future. The future for Elite Trader has forever been immensely changed at every moment along it's new timeline without marketsurfer.

He's a veteran trader with decades of experience, yet was always generous with his time and insights when newbs sought his counsel on style of trading, types of edge, TA versus fundamental, etc. That seems like exactly the sort of mentorship chatboards would hope to foster.

The problems other members had with surfs disruption of discussions were well known and long standing. Those are admirable characteristics ET should support but marketsurfer is the poster boy role model for the exact opposite of the picture you disingenuously paint. Most of the members who interacted with surf rallied against him for a long time. He is evil and despised. Other than the comical value of his posts there wasn't a notable interest indicating even a tiny segment of members considered anything he said useful.
