Would it be possible to trade for 10 cents per contract with these volumes?

    I think you'd be closer to 25-40c.

10c is for doing around 10,000 / day. A few years ago you could probably get 10c at 1,000 / day but I don't think so anymore.

For a few hundred round trips per day, most FCMs seem to offer 25 cents and some lower. But I want to see if know if 10 cents is possible for these volume.

I think for one thousand round trips a day, there are many FCMs that would offer 10cents

It's probably going to depend on which product you are trading. If it's standard vanilla Eurodollars or treasure futures and you are focused on just one product then you'd have a better chance.

But I'm quite sure you wouldn't get sub 10c across the board (Eurex lme tocom included) until you are well over 10,000 contracts a day.

Small FCMs are typically clearing members of a few exchanges so if those are what you trade you can get a good rate. Esoteric stuff usually gets cleared away so the prices are higher. And a large FCM needs to generate at least 250k per year per client or they won't keep you.

Several years ago Advantage or RCG had the best fee structure for people trading a few hundred or a few thousand a day. But how low they would go was very product specific and depended on how comfortable they were with risk on that product. They've kind of changed their business model but I imagine it would be worth calling both of them.

May I know who offers 10 cents one way for one thousand RTs a day? that means we are looking at $1.15 (Assuming no membership) + $0.01 (NFA) + $0.10 (Commission) = $1.26 per one way everything included for E-mini S&P500?

I don't know anyone that would charge that. However, when you say" a few hundred futures round trips, if that is 200 RT, are you referring to 400 contracts or 200 contracts per day.

That sounds like around 600 contracts a day ( a few hundred round trips). Depending on what you are trading, it may be worth it to buy (or lease) an exchange seat.

  9. Advantage futures will get you close. 2000 contracts a day total and assuming 20 days a month, they charge .13/contract according to their website.

That's really cheap except they only have limited platform. I guess only the xtrader user will like it.
