Low commission for retail traders

  1. I'm using IB and very happy with the low commission, I thought IB had the lowest for retail traders. I'm very surprised to read the Wiki page on day trading, is this really true? Anyone know such brokers?

Here are some of the investors:

Robinhood has raised a total of $66 million in venture capital funding.

It received $3 million in seed capital from Google Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Index Ventures, IT Ventures, Social Leverage, and Elefund with several angels.[22] It announced it had raised an additional $13 million in Series A funding in September 2014.[23] Jan Hammer of Index Ventures led the round and joined the Robinhood board.[23] Also joining the round were Ribbit Capital; Howard Lindzon, co-founder of StockTwits and general partner at Social Leverage; Aaron Levie, founder of Box;Dave Morin, founder of Path; Jared Leto; Snoop Dogg; and Nasir Jones of QueensBridge Venture Partners.[23]

  6. Very interesting, if their business model is sustainable, it will change the broker business drastically. I think I will give it a try.

Thanks, it's a little cheaper than IB for average-volume traders.

  10. Based on the link, since most trader never trade 250000 shares per month, 100 share cost US$0.45.

For easy way to remember, 200 share costs $0.9 which is a little bit half of IB, isn't it?

Anyone have experience to use Robinhood? If not, it might be a ghost.
