    Hi

Can anyone recommend any live trading chat rooms - ideally global? I trade a mix of equities, futures and forex and figure there must be some free chat rooms set up to exchange ideas and provide support.

    Thanks

I have no interest in paid trading rooms run by 'gurus'. This is all I found listed / discussed so your suggestion is not helpful.

  3. I'm seriously considering paying for RANsquawk. I guess that's enough for me. When I've traded in a trading room most of the conversation was totally useless BS.

Thanks but I would not pay to be part of a trading room. I would expect to add as much value as I receive.

  8. Benzinga (pro.benzinga.com) is really great for equities and they have the best squawk. I have used all the others and like the Benzinga Content and customer service team the best. I use the squawk for 89 a month (Not sure how much just the news feed is)

A few hundred free trader chat rooms on IRC servers...a few you can Google. Some of the best ones are private (invitational only) but you can get known by hanging out in a few of the public rooms and consistently post value information in hopes you get an invite into another chat room.

Some good traders on IRC consistently posting value information and trades whereas most are just lurking (not saying a word).

Free chat rooms are easy to start online. Thus, if you can't find a chat room you like...you can easily start your own and then invite those you already share commonalities with. Some ET members have done such. In fact, a few of ETs most popular members that no longer post here at the forum...they have their own active chat rooms.

  10. Hi
I am a futures trader since 2004 trading equity futures , bonds, commodities , currency pairs , energies etc. The last couple of years I trade my own account ( formerly traded for a London proprietary trading firm ) from home office in Ireland. Have always used X Trader Pro as my trading platform. Happy to be added to existing chatrooms such as skype where I would help share information and advice with like-minded professional traders.
    Cheers
    Rob
