only about 4 million out of the 6.7 million currently enrolled are paying premiums
those were the ones who previously had insurance, but it was cancelled by Obama
I've heard of premiums going down, but I assume that is because they are subsidized
There are plenty of stories from non subsidized citizens, and boy are they pissed!

Ours are going up 200% .. from $420/month to $1240/month .. for inferior coverage. And our deductible will go up almost 30% too. Thanks Odumbo. What's the problem? Slackers get 90% or more of their premiums paid for by taxpayers and those who work, are successful and are healthy pay for these slobs. FACTS that the mentally challenged liberals cannot defend.

^That's insane. How can the average family afford 16K a year in healthcare insurance, before taxes... I read YOY doublings are the norm....

Odumbo wants to penalize two groups of people (1) hard working, successful folks and (2) healthy people. Then we get to cough up astronomical amounts of $$$ to pay for all the slobs who are lazy.

I disagree, but I agree that is the unintended consequences of Obamacare.

Obama has no idea where money comes from or how it is made. Like most democrats, they see white men walking around in suits and have no idea what they actually do and just assume they are not the "working class."

As long as somebody has a yacht or a private jet they think there is plenty of money out there for them to spend as they see fit. And, unlike you, I do not believe they want to hurt anybody, they just aren't economically mature enough to understand the unintended consequences of their wonderful compassionate laws.

case in point, medicare and social security. These are wildly popular among most all U.S. citizens, rich and poor. But whenever anybody tries to address the debt, those two programs are always listed as our greatest threat. I don't think FDR or LBJ were out to hurt USA. Just unintended consequences.

    loyek590,

In any other form of insurance people are held responsible for their choices .... if you're a bad driver you pay higher rates. But with Odumbocare slobs pay the same as healthy, fit people. People who choose to abuse their health should either pay higher rates or not be insured. It happens with auto, homeowners, .....

yes, the law is deeply flawed. Number one, the treatment of pre existing condition. It contradicts the whole idea of insurance.

People who get cancer or some illness through no fault of their own should be covered ... but the 70% of the US population that is overweight or obese, most of whom have some related health issues, should pay more $$.

Further, the mandated coverages are awful and not at all thought out by the idiots who drafted it.

what we need is an exclusive private insurance pool exempt from Obamacare. Applications will be based on height and weight and smoking and drinking habits and occupation. A gym membership also will help. All doctor and small shit will be paid out of pocket, but if someone in your family gets the dreaded diagnosis, we will all pay.
