I am looking to upgrade my Trading set up from 4 monitors to 6 monitors. Currently have 2 Nvidia NVS295 dual cards. Can anyone recommend a graphics card for 6 monitors?
You can have an nvs 440 and a nvs 295 to get six outputs. Uses the same nvidia driver. Matrox have a card that will run 8 monitors. http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/graphics_cards/m_series/m9188pciex16/
Presuming your mobo has a PCIEx1 slot besides having 2, x16 slots.... you can buy a 295 x1 card and run 6 monitors.
Thanks for the quick replies. The NVS295 & NVS440 are quite old now. Would I be better buying a newer/higher spec graphics card, will only be using the PC for Trading. Should add I am buying 6 new monitors as well in the future.
Nvidia have an 8 output card as well, nvs 810. http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/nvs-graphics-cards-uk.html If you are going to use displayport then you will need new cards.
The graphic requirements of trading are low. No need to buy new graphics cards unless required because of your higher res monitor displays. (I still use 295 cards on 1920x1200 monitors)
Interesting that all the nvidia nvs cards now have fans. The attraction was that they used to be fanless. If you are buying new monitors then look at 4k monitors. I replaced two 24" dell 1080p monitors with one benq 32" 4k monitor and run from an intel nuc skylake so no graphics card was needed. Take a look at the 43" dell 4k designed for traders. Has 4 inputs that can be zoomed. http://www.engadget.com/2016/05/23/dell-43-inch-quad-monitor/ http://www.theverge.com/circuitbrea...dells-43-inch-4k-multi-client-monitor-amazing
If I am just using the monitors for Trading. Isn't 4K monitors over specking? I will check out the links.
Everyone is getting one. http://www.elitetrader.com/et/index.php?threads/anyone-use-a-32-or-34-monitor.296342/
