Excel spreadsheet sharing on ET

    Why are excel uploads disabled?

    Is it the load on the server?

    Probably because Excel spreadsheets can contain macros that damage either the ET site or the systems of people who download them.

    you can easily share google spreadsheets, since it is just a URL with nothing to download....
    and it allows online collaboration too
