We had a huge YTD for my family/in-laws trust. We netted an arb for Aug monthly (early) and as a result:

I cannot trade my personal account as the result of OPM (not F&F), so I will post some F&F trades here, as well as some mid-marked trades that I cannot personally trade.

The marks on the above chart and not really indicative as the trade was not netted until the 12th. The actual PNL was linear to >30%.

Entered a mid-duration short here (1-3 months) at SPX 1985. Mostly in vola (long vol, short gamma, DN to SPX 1955).

  5. Tell me some more about this OPM. Is it tracked anywhere? Do you run it, or just know someone who manages OPM?

  7. I showed your post to several friends in the real money management and derivative business, no one ever heard the term "netted an arb" Can you explain this arcane language?

  8. Speaking of yourself?

No, not all. Just curious how you were able to raise anything outside of your wealthy family. Likely a few marks found on elite trader??

    No need!

How about we bet on the legitimacy of the opening pic on this thread. The >30%. I'll allow you to login to the account and you can verify the %-return and view the dollar-return.

$100K wager. I win if the return matches the opening pic. You win if it does not. Otherwise get back to your 1,000sq ft condo with Anna and contemplate gainful employment.

  10. Lots of traders have had their best year ever, its really not a big deal. I am not questioning your returns--- totally possible. Why do you think my post was referring to your returns?
