  3. OH the outrage. Another thug gets shot and we have video. Do we have video of the 9 year old that was assassinated last month? How about video of the 3 year old caught a stray bullet in the head? Any video on any of the dozens upon dozens of innocent children killed every year in Chicago? I bet that video will be truly terrible to watch, unlike the feigned outrage over this punk getting blasted. He got shot 16 times. I don't give a fuck if he got shot 1600 times, other than a waste of good ammo. Was he innocent? NO, he was not, as usual. One less criminal on the streets. Job well done. Next!
Where are the thousands of protesters when the truly innocent kid gets gunned down? Where is all the media outrage? The truly innocent get kicked into the grave without nary a peep, but the thug gets shot...OMFG. Shut down the city. This shit must stop. Media goes crazy.
And then they wonder why people won't take their grievances seriously. Really?

  5. We have two different arguments. One being what you post here and the other is stupid thugs getting themselves shot while resisting arrest. Conflating the two is not productive.
They want less crime in their neighborhood, fewer innocent children getting killed by stray bullets...then quit memorializing the thugs that do the killing. Protest when the innocent die and celebrate one less thug.
Eliminating corruption in the police department is a political problem, and Chicago politics is among the most corrupt, top to bottom.

So do thugs cause corrupt PDs, or do corrupt PDs cause thugs?

  7. Thugs are thugs regardless of the PD, and the PD is the PD regardless of the thugs. Money and power cause the corruption in both. That and disregard for the law.

  8. Indeed. In many instances, both sides are at fault. An unaccountable police force that has cover from top leaders and some of the worst ghetto's in the US where violence and mayhem are the status quo.

  9. "So far this year, Chicago has seen at least 2,703 people shot, about 400 more than during the same period last year, according to a Chicago Tribune analysis of shootings data collected over the last two years. Through Monday morning, homicides have risen to at least 440, up from 397 a year earlier, according to Tribune data on city homicides."
5 dead, 11 wounded last weekend.

440+ murdered, countless innocent children, all without protest, but the thug gets his parade? Gee, can't imagine what the problem is.

This one was indefensible, but they charged the cop. In Baltimore it took them a while to do that, but the circumstances were more ambiguous to start with.

You have to wonder how often this type of thing happened before cell phone videos with no repercussions. It's just plain wrong, and shouldn't happen in a free society.
