BMT Elite Membership

Discussion in 'Educational Resources' started by trading_legend, Sep 21, 2013.

  1. I would like to know what this thing is about. Obviously, this guy cannot be trusted and the information he provides about it is pretty poor. Looks like he is looking for suckers. He and his minions tend to complain about how little information other vendors provide, and yet he thinks that that he is better. Well, he is not, and that's yet another example of his double standards.

You would expect to see at least all the precious indicators he offers there listed for the prospective buyer to make an educated decision, but no, no such thing. I suspect too many of those are pirated or knock-offs, which make them too questionable to brag about.

Anyway, here is is my question: what exactly is in there?

More bashing of vendors behind the closed door for those losers who are too cowardly to do it in a transparent, accountable manner? Is it so, because I have heard rumors to this effect?

More knock-off software and links to pirated indicators that he will not show on the main pages?

    If not, what's the meat?

Because it seems that glorified piracy and incessant vendor bashing that vendors cannot even respond to for they get banned if they try to are the only two things that make this forum so "fundamentally different."

Please do tell me what exactly is so special about the elite membership that would make me cough up $100? I think that the prospective buyers should be given more information. You cannot count on Big Mike to be that generous, though he likes to brag about his charitable activities.

    Thanks.

  2. The elite membership basically gives you acces to their "special indicators, strategies, and chat talk". The people that pay for that "elite" crap are those looking for the holy grail, as always.

    Stay away from it...

The information he provides about the Elite membership looks pretty clear:

Here are just some of the advantages of becoming an Elite Member:

    - Show your support, your name will be highlighted in yellow
    - Access to all Elite threads and posts
    - Access to exclusive Elite downloads (indicators)
    - Access to exclusive webinars and training material
    - Enhanced Private Message capabilities including attachments
    - Enhanced Search capabilities including global attachment searching
    - Ability to disable advertisements on the site if you wish
    - Ability to set your own custom user title
    - Tapatalk mobile app support

What is so "poor" about this Elite membership info?

I joined as an Elite member because I was so impressed with the quality of trading information and discussion there that I wanted to support his forum. I've never viewed an Elite webinar, or looked at an Elite indicator (I already have a trading plan, so no need to develop another one), or taken advantage of any of the other benefits of the Elite membership. I simply wanted to support what I saw as a top notch forum for advanced trading ideas.

I was able to connect with some real professionals there and learn about some of the "inner workings" of market action. However, none of that knowledge was pertinent to my particular trading method; it was just stuff I was curious about.

If it's obvious (to you) the guy cannot be trusted, then why are you interested in knowing more? You can get a good enough view of his forum without becoming an Elite member. If it looks useless or dangerous to you, then avoid the site and by all means, do not join as an Elite member.

I joined too. Not because I care about the exclusive deals and friendships and extra knowledge, but because I wanted to contribute to the Big Mike Retirement Fund.

Happy birthday big boy and enjoy your vacation!

  6. Read on the front page he moved to Ecuador?

  7. My opinion, all trading vendors on every trading forum must have broker statements verified past 6 months minimum. If you can't show proof of system or vendor trader profitability then don't have on website. If every trading site had this standard for vendor ads or vendor posts on forums the junk systems will go away. Raising the standard for vendor exposure to trading public is best idea.

Proof with bmt is hundreds of tools taken from other sites and systems on bmt and still very few their profitable. That says it all for me. The video section on bmt is good for broker and trading platform webinars but most vendor videos have no proof of monthly profits with system.

  8. I hope that's not the case because that would be criminal to any good lawyer, IMO. Can anyone comment on that?

He already has a problem running a forum that is quite dedicated to bashing his competitors. The fact that he does not admit he is a vendor means he is not a big believer in a full disclosure and he obviously has also a big conflict of interest on his hands.

That's a pretty sleazy operation as many commented on this forum and in other places.

But if he were resorting to doing the same behind the closed doors that would be much worse.

Transparency and accountability are very important for any legitimate business.

  9. You may be underestimating his pathology. This guy is a full blown sociopath in my book and so are some of his fellow travelers like Harald Steinhaus (Fat Tails) often mentioned here for his sleazy behavior uncommon even among trading marketers.

I suspect the bashing of vendors is only more intense in the elite section, but I stand to be corrected.
