Billions

  1. I'm surprised to see that no one on ET is talking about the upcoming TV show Billions with Damian Lewis portraying the modern day version of Gordon Gekko. Just watched the pilot episode that will air Sunday on Showtime and it looks great.

Has anyone else had a chance to look at it? I find it quite interesting that we get a show like that at the moment when Wall St is awash in cash like never before.

I don't get Showtime but am a big fan of Paul Giamatti. We're trying to find a way to get it without having to subscribe to Showtime just for this show...maybe on Netflix or Amazon prime or something.

  3. who is Gordon Gekko, and what is "Wall Street" and what is cash?

  7. I thought Bale and Carrell were great.

Actually I did. When you search for "billions tv show" your thread doesnt come up. But if you search for "billions tv series" it does. Baron's algo must be hungover.

  8. Looks kind of boring, actually.
...It looks more like a cat and mouse legal suspense thriller, rather than an actual Wall Street-type movie or show.

"Damian Lewis portraying the modern day version of Gordon Gekko."
...I don't necessarily see Gordon Gekko in that guy. GG was way better. :finger: Come to think of it, I don't expect anybody to top Gordon Gekko in Wall Street 1987...he nailed that role beautifully.

I mentioned it 2 weeks back in the big short thread.

Its good intelligent enough to be watchable, role on more when ever is actually out.
