Appreciated in advance.
I heard that, in Asia, China has 0.1% stamp tax and HongKong have 0.3% stamp tax. However those three countries do NOT charge Capital Gain Tax AT ALL. That might be big advantage for certain trader with his own particular strategy.
1) a) For Hong Kong "Hang Seng Index" http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=^HSI+Historical+Prices b) For Shanghai "SSE Composite Index" http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=000001.SS+Historical+Prices c) For Shenzhen "SZSE Component Index" http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=399001.SZ+Historical+Prices 2) I think esignal provides one minute data for Hong Kong and Shanghai equities. Not sure where to get 1 minutes data for Shenzhen equities >> Also how to open new trading account for China stocks. Where do you live? You may open an account in IB, you can trade Hong Kong equities/futures. If you are not Mainland Chinese citizen, there is no way to trade Shanghai/Shenzhen market... legally (at least not now). You may want to take a look at "Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect", it is a program for non Mainland Chinese citizen trading Shanghai equities (Shenzhen in the next phase) via some brokers in HK. The program is not live yet. http://www.hkex.com.hk/eng/market/sec_tradinfra/chinaconnect/chinaconnect.htm
Hong kong stamp duty is 0.1% for both buyer and seller. https://www.hkex.com.hk/eng/market/sec_tradinfo/trancost.htm Shanghai is 0.1% seller only https://biz.sse.com.cn/sseportal/en/c04/c01/c04/c01/p1293/c1504010401_p1293.shtml There is no stock capital gain tax in HK for individuals. I am not sure in China.
