I used to frequent this website back in the late 90's/early 2000's. There was a real time chat room back then. Those were some fun times. trading stuff like DELL, SUNW. COMS, CMGI, EGGS, KKRO, TGLO, KOOP and a whole bunch of symbols that went extinct with the tech wreck. Let me hear from you. Tommy
Dell, Sun Micro, 3Com, CMGI, Egghead, The Globe.com, Dr. Koop (LMAO!). Can't remember KKRO?? Unfortunately HFT algos cannot communicate via ET. All that's left here are the last men standing trying to hold the Alamo.
People in this business getting extinct faster than stocks... Those who survive and still in the business probably understood by now that they have no use for the forums, may be just to sound off once in a while... for the heck of it
Hey, we are going "shopping" in Miami & Boca today---and maybe end up in key west-- being here in bikinni weather is much different than last time.... you guys should join us! DNA
Clubber Lang, you are correct to say LMAO about Dr. Koop, The Globe, etc. There was a whole lot of junk back then. KKRO stood for Koo Koo Roo. I don't even know what it was, I just remember it being traded. KTEL was another one. CMRC, EXDS, the list goes on and on. I traded QCOM almost ever day back then, before and after the 4:1 split. Even when it started heading south, you could still buy the dips and make money. Since you mentioned the Alamo, I live about 120 miles from there. Been there many times. ENMD, I don't remember too many from back then. Baron of course, and Smartmoney, and there was a guy named Zogar. I bought some b/s he recommended and got my head handed to me. It's what I get for doing what I call "wild hair" trades. You run a string of winning trades together and think you can do no wrong. Kaboom, you get a reality check.
