What are your thoughts on Das Trader for your firm? Have you had any issues with the speed or execution for day trading?
Tried a demo and hated it!! Slow feed....not sure if it was because it was a demo but it is not user friendly at all. The Fusion demo I got from JC Trading was 100 times better.
Well, it's been awhile, however when I first traded for a registered prop I used Das Trader and it was fine. I was using hot keys for execution and routing orders mostly through EDGX and the fills were instant. It seemed like a very user friendly platform, especially for charts and setting up hot keys. The op mentioned slow speeds on demo, which probably made the difference. My guess is they have improved Das over the years, so one way to figure out if you like the platform is to try a demo and test the layout, knowing that the execution may vary if it's a demo version.
It was a demo. The time and sales on DAS versus Fusion and Sterling were considerably lower. I would say 2 seconds....which in trading is an eternity. Plus by far not as many routes as Fusion.
