I like them, but I would like to know if there is an alternative to news presented in this format (nicely consolidated). Preferably cheaper or free if there is such a thing. Thank you.

Thank you both for the interesting replies. But as far as I can tell, none of them offer anything like 'Bloomberg briefs'. Bloomberg Briefs is a regular publication (daily/weekly) on a specific topic/region/investment-type (one each), that contains consolidated news for the previous period on that topic, and published as a mini-mag (ergo, 'brief') in a PDF format. These are nice as one can just print it off or read it to catch up on what's happening over the last week. So far not found anything like that.
