i guess all those other sources that are saying essentially the same thing as NYT are pathological liars too.

Then why hasn't the IRS arrested Trump for misstating corporate valuations?

I am not a big fan of trump. but I were voting for my children's futures... I would put trump near the top of the political list (a very weak list these days) and I would put the new york times near michael jackson at the bottom of any list.

the times vs trump in a competition for truth and good of country.

The times in the 1970s to 80s. Liberals fighting the man for liberty.

The times today owned by the man... propaganda to help cronies destroy the country.
Full of shit all they time. even their resident conservative loves Obama.

Trump exaggerator, self promoting... seems to lie sometimes.
But... unquestionably a a patriot saying the same thing about our country being destroyed by stupid policies since the 80s.

I think the situation with the New York Times is more complex then you are describing. They have an editorial board that pulls the paper in many directions. Certainly I agree that the paper leans left. however they do put out some well-researched, in-depth articles (and others not so well-researched e.g. Jayson Blair).

The tilt of the paper has gone in multiple directions over time. In some instances evolving through several cycles of editorial slant and opinion. Like any news source you have to read the paper and keep in mind its bias to maintain context of the material.

To me reading the times was insulting to the value of the time I spent reading it. You would read an interesting piece from a thoughtful journalist and then you would have 8 articles insulting your intelligence with slants and rhetorical tricks.

"In conclusion, all I have to say is this post was too long so I’m taking tomorrow off. The mean-spirited blog bullies will probably call me lazy, but that’s a cross I’m willing to bear. On one level this may look like a passive aggressive argument, but on another level I knew you would say that because you are beholden to Greek thinking and a mechanical dictation theory of inspiration."

  6. oh yeah, they are good writers, it's just the stuff they choose to sweep under the rug that is the problem.

Ya, he does exaggerate and make white-lies sometimes. He's ruthless. But he also gets the job done. He's Machiavellian-lite. I'm okay with it because I judge a tree by it's fruit. Something most Americans don't do. Investigate Trumps past. He aggressively promoted women and minorities in his company. Gave away huge sums of money to average working-class Americans he met on a day-to-day basis (paid off the mortgage of a random waitress etc etc). And his stance on everything but guns and abortions were totally consistent over the past 30 years. Finally, he went on the Alex Jones show, conspiracy theorist number#1, and praised him for half an hour for exposing the New World Order and the great Patriotic work he's done. I follow Alex Jones. Have for over a decade. Much of Trumps talking points - from vaccines, to 911, to free trade and Agenda 21, to global government (aka "globalization") - that's all Alex Jones man. That wasn't a coincidence he did that show. For Trump to go on and heap praise on Jones when that's nothing but a liability, this guy is on our team man.

I can't be 100% positive about anything, but connect the dots. >90% chance he's playing along with the establishment twats and glad-handing to "make deals". Aka. Get the job done. That's my analysis on the situation.
