One of the most challenging aspects for new clients is getting used to sitting with a trade for an extended period of time. Spreads are relatively speaking very cheap to margin, and since we are targeting large chunks of market range it makes the most sense for us to be position trading them.

I've noticed that new clients get especially anxious if a position is a big winner and it has not yet reached its designated profit target.

So new clients have by the latest tally 111 webinar videos to slog through. Covers all topics associated with modeling, constructing, and trading spreads - along with extensive trade set-up review.

The videos do not include 80 files sent separately that include proprietary study files, etc.

I had a great discussion with a client today about entering continuation trades and probabilities. I'll distribute the discussion in the form of a webinar in the next few days or so.

I talked to a client today about using a simple calendar spread to roll the front wing of a butterfly futures spread trade that is performing quite nicely for him.

Three webinars distributed today - about four hours of material. Some topics covered of note include: continuation trades, equity ideas, and a lengthy talk with a client whose performance metrics are particularly impressive. Like gaudy.

I have three clients going live in July and August, so if anyone might be interested in training with me the timing would be good.

I have come to like a rather long paper trading period so that I can meet with those clients routinely and make sure that they are conservative with their marks, and are exposed to multiple changes in market conditions and that they trade as many electronically available market sectors as practical and use the various forward curve strategies and spread combination constructs to full advantage. How's that for a long sentence.

Have any independent spread traders using an AutoSpreader or automated spread quoting platform out there been flagged by their clearing firms the past several months for excessive messaging ? I know that CME has improved their message-to-fill ratio policy, but was curious if there was any friction...
