DBPhoenix Posts/Journals

Discussion in 'Educational Resources' started by Chris Paciello, Apr 22, 2016.

  1. I was looking for the OLD threads he created that came up removed when I tried to find them.

  2. What handle is dbPhoenix posting under these days? Several people have mentioned that he is back on here (even mentioning that it's Frederick Foresight), but I've doubted that since the beginning...Also hard to believe that he is back on here but not active in the P&R, which is where he posted prolifically.

    Trust me on this...

Its best to just scan through his old threads (you have access to his post history even though its large) and then read the messages by those using his method. Read both sides of the coin...those that struggle with the method and those that got it.

Next, click on their user name and then start a private conversation if you have specific questions about the method. This will avoid a lot of debates with others that don't use the method or don't like the guy or don't like his personal beliefs considering he hung out in the P&R and Chit Chat threads where people get very heated about just about anything in life.

Seriously, you have access to the info now...there's no need to continue the conversation here because it will just end up as a debate.

With that said, most of his threads here at ET he asked the moderators close (not removed) them when they completed and he moved on to a new topic.

Some of those old threads are listed in the Hall of Fame section
    @ http://www.elitetrader.com/et/index.php?threads/price-and-volume.29005/

There are two specific old threads at the above link. Those threads involved Price/Volume discussions.

He has other old threads that are not listed as a Hall of Fame thread.

That's why its best for you to just read through those threads and start a private conversation in which you can ask questions about the method with those that used the method. If you are familiar with some of his threads...you most likely know who were using the method.

Last of all, I'm sure you know where he's currently actively posting. If not, use Google and go there and ask him for a list of his old threads that are posted here at ET. He knows that list better than anyone here at ET.

  5. I was reading the "If you can draw a straight line" thread but noticed a lot of the charts are missing.

Does anyone happen to have a PDF version of this thread with the charts? I already have DB's 400pg book but I was looking for this one to read everyone else's replies mainly 40D's.

I would love if someone can help me out with this. Hopefully someone preserved it.

I do want to say thank you to all who have responded to this thread. I truly appreciate it.

  6. I was trying to reach 40D but his PMs are restricted.

I'll reach out to others who have followed SLA.

    Thank you

What is your objective? Your orig post says u can't find db's threads? DB made 10k posts to ET.

All u have to do to pm 40 is type fortydraws as the receipent but he hasn't visited here in a couple months. I have his email but I'm not at liberty to share it.

You're from FL. Do you know surf? You've said u don't want to get off-topic but it's not clear what your interests, objectives or topic is??? Have u read DB's posts? And 40's posts?

In january 40 and I convinced Baron to remove DB's ban but we were unable to convince Db to come back to ET. IMO, what I'm going to say next is the essence of any topic about DB, but feel free to have it stricken if these keystrokes clutter your thread. Before Db would even be willing to consider coming back, Baron would have to take up the cause that there would be a hand's off policy on attacking any TA concepts or TA proponets posting TA ideas to the TA section of the forum.

If u read the descriptive heading beneath the TA forum it's supposed to be a place for TA ***ENTHUSIASTS*** or TA junkies to share their ideas. No one other than DB could guarantee he would be willing to consider coming back to ET but I assure u, after having recently talked to Db, that as long as the anti-TA group is permitted to attack TA ideas in the TA section, of the forum ...Db isn't coming back.

Perhaps Baron could start an anti-TA section of the forum. I believe that would be the first step toward bringing Db, 40D and others back to ET. Restrict anti-TA posts to the anti-TA section of the forum. IMO, ban Q3D (aka surf's team mates) would be the logical 2nd step.

Many ET members set their profile to "restrictive" for many different reasons but regardless to the reason...they basically are telling other ET members not to bother them. Therefore, its best not to try to track them down or to contact them even if you discover they have a new alias or moved to another forum.

Also, I'm curious why you want read the old threads but then want to contact new members that have been reading the recent threads of the past few years.

Therefore, I'm curious, considering you know where Db is currently actively posting and where others are actively having conversations with Db...what's preventing you from talking with Db at the other forum and talking with those at the other forum that are currently learning what he's teaching ?

My point is that it seems logical that anyone that was actively talking to Db at this forum is most likely (followed him) to the other forum and is actively talking with him with him there considering you now have access to his recent threads and old threads at this forum.

I know 5 members at this forum that actively talked to him at this forum and they no longer post here and now post at the other forum...all of them via a different alias in comparison to their ET alias.

    1) You banned from the other forum ?

    2) You had problems with Db at the other forum and he told you he doesn't want to talk to you any more ?

I say this only because I've seen such happen several times here at ET where Db no longer wanted to talk to someone for whatever reasons. Essentially he told them to go away and stop bothering him.

That person became very frustrated after not being able to get further help...the person than spent most of their time here at ET complaining about Db in such a way that it seemed obsessive.

@wrbtrader may be correct in their analysis, but I wouldn't go so far as to essentially tell someone they shouldn't post because it may cause a heated debate. Folks should learn how to debate without getting heated...assuming getting heated is something else no one should do.
