  1. I recently took the time to give the Pershing Square websites (http://www.factsaboutherbalife.com/resource-library/) a good once over, and found myself captivated by the subject of this Herbalife story. After two weeks of borderline compulsive-disorderly research (web and what have you), there is no doubt in my mind that the company is indeed a criminal enterprise as claimed, but, thus far, not in the eyes of the law.

    So I am curious of the views of other members here regarding HLF a fraud or legitimate business, yes, no, maybe, and any further insights / thoughts. A Poll is attached, please vote, let's have a referendum ;)

  2. if it was a criminal enterprise, you think the fbi would let it operate for this long?

    what has come of that fbi investigation?

  3. I completely agree w/ your logic... Except... Yes, quite possibly they could. The F.B.I. has a priority list and this sort of thing is simply not at the top. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Bureau_of_Investigation#Budget.2C_mission_and_priorities

    Further, government agencies be it at state of federal level, are systemically understaffed and don't have adequate resources to completely carry out thir mandates, hence requiring prioritization. So... There's that. Also, realistically, the choice of what to prosecute and what not to go after is made by individuals, all of which are more interested in furthering their career than anything else.

    I do not know anything about the (alleged) F.B.I. investigation, if it is ongoing. I do know that no "conclusion" of such has been announced.

  4. I have HLF on my Short Watch List,
    thinking that they sell "unnecessary" products, IMHO

    If i'm going to play this, it's probably going to be buying some cheap 2018 Puts,
    but I haven't gotten involved, yet

    IBD likes them, because make money;
    and I do respect IBD; so that's one reason I'm cautious...

  5. There is no such thing as a cheap HLF put currently - But it's relative to your definition of "cheap" of course.

  6. it's true,
    the 2018s [for HLF] aren't even available yet

  7. NV, they have a retreat up the hill where I live, for all the successful Herbalifers they get a week's stay there. What's weird was construction stopped when Herbalife was under attack and heading down to the $30s, now its fully built with parties being thrown frequently.

    Today's move was interesting, I hate MLPs, I hate religious cults and that's what many of these companies that sell MLP are. If you compared how some of the religious groups act, its not too far how many MLPs act.

    This is not to bash the big Christian or Non Christian churches that do many good deeds and help make the World a better place. I am referring to "High Group Mind Control" regimes that reprogram people to max out their credit cards and peer pressure forces them to sell their products at Church, to their family, to their friends, eventually everyone run's from them because we hate how they only want to talk about selling us products.

    Nuskin has their own type of Waco Texas group of salesmen and women living together in a four bedroom house, talk about some creepy things they did. I don't think HLF play's fair, it's a form of Mind Control.
