For any who do systematic OPTION trading, Black Box or Gray Box: Can you share your experience/recommendation on platforms/tools? Or even a list of candidates... Thnx.
kcgoogler: TOS does NOT support systematic algorithmic option trading. (I heard a rumor they plan to support some algorithmic trading in the future to compete with TradeStation, but no WHAT or WHEN data yet.) I currently use TOS as my primary trading platform, but am looking for something that allows gray/black box Option trading algorithms.
As an option MM I used Actant Quote. As a "customer" to can use Actant Exstream. It uses scripting to execute your strategy. Are you trading equity options or options on futures? For options on futures, Option City is worth a look. http://www.actant.com/ http://www.optionscity.com/ Bob
You can use IB's API to do this. It's not hard to get started with their API provided you have a programming background. If you're looking for tools to help you analyze data and find opportunities/algorithms, those are easier to find.
