    Way to promote underleverage OP.

Without leverage you lack scalability, good luck beating the SP500 like that.

  2. OOOOOOH that's very good news! People on ET told me that the average trader here trades 1-3 cars. So I was sweating all the time with my 200 contracts. Now I can reduce my position by 100!. :D

Still waiting answer from emg about my question. What would he do with that postion????

  3. I would like to repeat my question:

What is your strategy if you go short ES at 495 around end of 1994?
For your information: I saw somebody do this trade for 200 contracts. He did not want to put a stop too. He added on every margin call to his position till he lost 10 mio $.

Afraid to answer? Don't want to share your secret solution for this problem? Or do you admit that stops are needed and that your statement is completely wrong?

1 contract equal $100K. or $100K per contract. This is something small traders cannot afford because too poor. ES leverage is $12.50 per tick which result to $100K per contract. Minimum to open a futures account should be $500K and not $5000.

Placing a stop loss is for loser! Those place stop because $100K per contract is unaffordable.

U don't have to believe me "small traders". just keep getting stopped out and reload your account for the next 2yrs until u are bust.

placing stop loss with $500 per contract result to bust.

  5. You ignore my question? WHY? Because this question demonstrates that you are absolutely WRONG!

In this case it is clear that putting no stop creates losers.
In 1994 1 points was 500$, not 50$ like now. I know because I traded at that time already.

  7. Yes, but! The car originally referred to the spoos pit traded contract, SP, that trades in 0.10 increment and where each point is $250. So one car is technically equivalent to 5 ES. Or at least that's how I think of it...
