Most 3 port video cards only support 2 monitors. The few 3 port cards that are able to support 3 monitors specifically state they can in their specification. IMO the odds of your card supporting 3 monitors is very near to zero (unless you have a tech background, researched this subject and entered this project with this knowledge of the improbability of it working).

In fact, if not mistaken, the only cards that support more than 2 monitors either use identical ports for all outputs, or the odd ouputs (beyond the 1st 2 which must be identical) must be display ports. The simple fact you have 3 different outputs would seem to nearly insure your card only supports 2 monitors ......based on this reasoning which to my knowledge is unchallengeable.

USB video cards are fine if you don't mind some delay in the image, i used to work with one and i would not recommend it.
I have no idea about the Nvidia card, i have the Sapphire Radeon HD6450 Flex and these work with 3 monitors.
When i first built my pc i used the same cards but without the flex and they only supported 2 monitors at the same time.

What operating system are you using? Does your card have 2 dvi outputs and 1 hdmi ouput, and no display port outputs?

    I am using Windows 10.
I use 2 of those cards, each one has a HDMI, DVI and VGA output.
Next to this i also use the graphic card with was attached to the motherboard so i am running 8 screens on 1 system.

Edit: before Windows 10 i used Windows 7 and i only managed to get 8 screens working, it was not possible to use the 2 Sapphire cards and the one on the motherboard at the same time.
The only issue i have now, actually always had, so also with Windows 7, is that i am unable to get sound, unless trough the digital output on the motherboard or the HDMI outputs on the Sapphire cards.

Thanks. That's good to know because it helps me understand better.

  9. Yes.

Some higher end Nvidia cards support 3 monitors and have either 2x DVI + 1 DP, or 2x DP + 1 DVI.

Then of course, are the quad port cards... with either 2x DMS59 or 4x DP/miniDP

Yes, I have something like for example 2 DVI and 4 display port and let me tell you I am really not sure I will be able to connect whole 6 monitors or even some amount of some different port monitors. But I am sure like 2 DVI or 4 display port are possible.
