US based companies only, but who's leading who these days. Europe or US ? Is there a similar index for Europe ? I would like to compare the two.
Spoken from experience, what mark out of 10 would you give yourself in having mastered the psychology side ?
Honestly I'm not that experienced, I'd say 6.5/10 for psychology because I have a very long way to go. My mental state during trading is not as consistent as I would like. But improving my psychology is what took me from being a losing trader to being able to manage consistent profits even though I still make a lot of mistakes.
In Forex, when the European session starts and one currency is moving fast in one direction, which is the direction on the longer trend, it works quite well for making a short day trade, there are times when price reverses but if you know how to you can use this to get a larger position at an even better price within the trend.
Hah so your idea of an efficient market is one that is constantly trending up and down vs mine which implies a form of stasis with trends inbetween. Obviously we can play games with the zoom dial and argue perspective based on timeframe but reality shows periods of consolidation, sometimes of noticeable duration, between trending periods.
there was a crank engineer type on elite who was callng every 2 ticks a "trend" not so long ago. Delusion is runs deep in this business. surf
