  2. If I want only historical tick data, I do not need to add any exchanges, correct ?
IOW, for $55/mo, I can get up to 100 symbols of history at a tick level ?

  3. Your fx commision are outrageous, bordering on extortion. 11 usd for a 100k round trip? That is around 3 times the amount brokers like interactive brokers charges. Who in their right mind is trading with you people?

Thank you for your interest in Kinetick: NinjaTrader’s preferred market data provider.

Kinetick’s Basic Service for $55/month is the base fee for receiving data from Kinetick and the Basic Service provides historical data for several supported exchanges for Kinetick. However, some exchanges do require additional entitlements in order to receive historical data. I recommend emailing support@kinetick.com and they can confirm if the symbols you want to receive historical data for are included with the Basic Service.

You can review all supported exchanges and corresponding exchange fees at the link below:

That would be $8 USD for 100K round trip not the $11 you stated.

  6. This is not correct, your absolutely cheapest commission, or better let's call it costs of execution, is USD 11, originating from USD 8 pure commission and USD 3 for a 0.3 pip spread. This assumes

    * the cheapest commission structure (requiring a Lifetime License, a whopping USD 1000 charge)
    * the almost tightest spread witnessed in ANY pair at any time of day assuming extremely high liquidity
    * no slippage

Your free application tier makes the cost of execution jump all the way up to USD 15 per 100k roundtrip.

This is an exorbitant >3 times as much as what Interactive Brokers charges.

I strongly discourage ANYONE to use this broker for currency trading. Failure at such commission cost is almost guaranteed unless one trades with extremely long holding periods and targets several hundred pips in profit.

If my understanding of the Interactive Brokers FX commission is correct (and this should be verified, as I don’t want to say with 100% certainty), the comparison of FX commissions requires a bit more detail. Their website lists commissions per trade (not per roundturn) and has a $2 minimum commission per order. So, if you scale into 100,000 EUR/USD position by buying 4 x 25,000 lots and scaling out of the position in the same way, you would be charged $16 per roundturn versus NinjaTrader Brokerage commission of $8 per roundturn for lifetime license holders. This does not take into account the spread, which may be different between the two firms, this only considers the commission.

However, you are correct that if the same customer were to purchase 100,000 EUR/USD and sell that position as one trade, then the comparison would be approximately $4.40 per roundturn at Interactive Brokers versus $8 at NinjaTrader Brokerage for lifetime users (or $12 for Direct Edition users). I just want to point out that the NinjaTrader platform is available for customers at Interactive Brokers, GAIN Capital and MB Trading so FX traders can choose the brokerage that best meets their requirements.

  8. are you trying to declare newbies and beginners as total idiots? We talked about a 100k trade. What a nasty approach of you to play down the differences by wanting to break this trade down into 4 25k units. Laughable. I think you should rather approach this topic from a more serious angle but trying to resort to such despicable sales techniques is probably not having the desired effect.

You conveniently omit that your Lifetime license costs 1000 usd which you may want to break down as well because IB charges exactly $0 for its platform and fx data.

Furthermore, spreads at Interactive Brokers are the tightest I have ever seen in over 10 years of comparing platforms and liquidity providers. I honestly would not be able to name one other platform that can boast of tighter spreads. Not that it would relate to the high costs you are charging for trades but you might not want to mention about spread differentials because with absolute certainty your liquidity providers would lose out.

You are still not accurate in your last paragraph. The charge is USD 4.0 per round turn for a 100k position. and $8 dollars plus a portion of the 1000 USD you charge for your platform in order to qualify for such "low preferential rates ;-)".

I would have given you kudos if you had come back in an honest manner and simply made your case that "yes we are way more expensive than IB but we have an edge regarding traders that trade sub 100k or even 1k positions". This would have been something I said "yes fair point made, IB does not target such "traders"".

Great, so you agree that NinjaTrader Brokerage has a pricing edge compared to Interactive Brokers for clients trading sub 100K lots which was the point we were trying to make. Thanks for distilling it down to the basics.
