No, u are completely on the wrong track. Truth is, you don't want anyone who "markets" coaching or mentoring. Either stealthly which seems to be the modus operandi of elites finest cranks or out in the open. The mentors you want are not mentors teachers or coaches but fill this role on an individual basis. surf
Actually you're confusing coaching with therapy. If one needs a more robust trading plan, that's one thing. If one has "psychological issues", he'd best look for someone who's qualified to address those problems. If it's simply a matter of discipline, that can be addressed by a coach up to a certain point. But when the failure to exercise discipline becomes pathological, the coach is out of his depth.
The question is: if YOU really need a coach assuming we now agree on limits of what coaches can or can't do.
We are talking about coaches in the sense of career coaching here I believe. It's somewhat different from variety of trading gurus/mentors around and results are much more realistic, certainly no miracles.
Agree. Strictly speaking therapy is solving a problem (away from pain) while coaching is "toward the goal". In this sense my example is a bit wrong probably because my own career in psychology (when I still had time for it ) was more therapy oriented. Good example of legit coaching approach in trading would be: a professional trader is consistent, but is stuck at a certain level which is not what makes her truly satisfied by career. Coach can assist to develop a new goal, make a plan and control realization of the plan to achieve that new goal.
I did not attend any coaching for forex . I trained my self with self efforts . Internet is my mentor in forex. I get all basic knowledge from here. After knowing about forex concepts I trained my self with demo trading. I can not afford coaching , it may helpful for traders but main thing is your personal hard work in trading.
