I am looking for US FCM's financial statements, similar to below for US b/d http://www.sifma.org/uploadedFiles/...-Industry-Financial-Results-SIFMA.xls?n=75591 I could only find http://www.cftc.gov/MarketReports/FinancialDataforFCMs/index.htm which does not provide FCM's revenue info. Thanks.
by the way, is there any restriction to entering into CTA or OTC trading by FCM? I am not aware of any FCM that is also trading OTC derivatives or is a CTA.
Many larger FCMs have trading desks to offer liquidity to their clients for swaps and OTC trades. They just have to follow NFA/CFTC rules.
We do business with FC Stone. They are a public company. http://ir.intlfcstone.com/ http://ir.intlfcstone.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=911444&CompanyID=AMDA-MQNVA
Yes, when I looked through the FCM list, I only found fcstone to be relevant. ADMIS' can only be found from its listed parent ADM, which doesnt offer much about the sub. I was more thinking about getting FCM's financials and compare their revenue breakdown (brokerage, interest income, OTC market making, etc) to some potential chinese brokers. However, since china is 90%+ retail driven and US is 90%+ institutional driven, I now doubt the comparison would be useful.
To see how the chinese brokers will evolve and PL will look like in the future as their market matures.
i am a little surprised to see such as a high% of sales in physical commodity trading. I thought FCstone would have a higher % in brokerage.
I have never looked at the numbers that closely. I only care what services they provide and that they have a stable capital base. You will see the Net capital increase soon as they are combining the securities operation with the FCM. I thing the capital might double. I find them excellent to work with. They also provide a research portal that provides daily reports.
