jasinhbca's quest for discipline, knowledge & profits

  1. Absolutely !

Reviewing old charts/trades right now. I've saved a ton on the computer. Making notes of things I had in my head that should have been spelled out clearer. Annotating some set ups from last week. This is the foundation stuff that allows for proper execution, the confidence to act and the confidence to take losses without distress or emotion.

Thankfully there's no mystery as to what I should be doing. I'm past that. Just lots of review.

And some mental review as well

    :)

    Let's do our job today

Early on as possible - identify the environment - on your TTF (chop / range/ trend) and trade within it - and keep on it like stink on shit

Nothing fancy (made up)..., no BS - iow stick to each plan

    See Ya this afternoon

  5. PA not much different than last week. However today I was patient, paid attention to HTF channels and S/R zones. Reading the market bar by bar. Wasn't worried about missing moves. Held through some deep PB's.

Seeing the market better today. Good focus. A couple little mistakes.

Last week I was doing 'hope' trade management. Hoping price would break a S/R point then really take off. Didn't do that today.

More trade review later then forget the session and do it all over again tomorrow. This is how I'm supposed to trade.

    5 trades +41 ticks.

    whew !

  9. A fair job of trading today. Good patience , reading context well. My first couple trades I was reacting too emotionally/fearfully which resulted in exiting too soon, getting back in, stop, re- enter. Finally got a trade that went to target and I think I settled down. It's not that I was beginner level emotional but still not where I should be.

After that good patience, held trades pretty well on initial pullbacks. Would have been a good day for scaling out.

Crap, I say this a lot, "A mix of good and so-so today" I'll take it though.
No major screw ups. + 20 ticks 6 trades.

Got to office just a bit late and missed the 'easy' moves. (not shown on chart)

Better than a aw shit day - any day

    ========================

You're making progress..., each day a step forward (yeah I'm ignoring the whole of last week)

But... whenever you allow days like last week to happen..., then you cease progressing and must start over (think about this and you'll understand why it is a start over..., and not a pick it back up where you left off)

This stage is slow - it has to be - you're ingraining the behaviors that support you through the remainder of your career

But again - let days like last week happen - you're right back at square one - and with a very...,very bad taste in your mouth (pain imprints much deeper than pleasure)

Keep on Truckin - days like this are exactly what successful trading built on
