To make a sound at 9:20, with wav file everyday?

  1. Dear-

Here is sample file to execute a designated OS command everyday at exact time.

    at /delete /yes
    at 17:00 /every:M,T,W,Th,F,S,Su shutdown -s -f
    at 09:15 /every:S,Su shutdown -s -f
    at 09:20 /every:M,T,W,Th,F c:\sndrec32 /play c:\sound0920.wav -s -f

which is stored at c:\my.bat as text file. Simple click the my.bat in the morning to follow everyday routine job in Windows 7.

Also c:\sndrec32 is window file (OS level) and c:\sound0920.wav is "10 minutes to open" sound file made from other place.

    1) Is there any other method to execute command everyday, under Window 7?

    2) How about in Linux(Ubuntu or other) with OS only?

    3) How about in cell phone, under iphone iOS or Samsung?

  2. Why make it so dificult? Use Qlock freeware and set up till 5 alarms. Choose times and dates as you wish, choose the sound you like, use countdown, synch automatically every day or hour....
And put several different clocks on your screen as you wish.
    All for free.

  3. I have my own program to send a alarm notice, saying that "MSFT reached your order point, please order 100 MSFT at 60 dollar", as soon as MSFT reaches $63
Also, the number of alarm is a lot bigger than 5. Possibly few hundreds.

With that, I can do my plain work together with listening an alarm to trade.
Apprently sound is more helpful than opening new window on my screen, based on my years experience.

PS) Most time working with only OS, improves my computer efficiency in memory.
There is lots of running software daytime already.
Therefore in the meantime two piece of separate computers are planned to be used.
Hope some PC company makes one PC with two CPU. I am going to be first to buy it, since networking two PCs is messy job.

  5. Thanks for the link. It says ""The AT command schedules commands and programs to run on a computer at a specified time and date. The Schedule service must be running to use the AT command.""
