Gotta be honest, I thought the same thing about the ipad: who would want one, the iphone can do *everything* the ipad can plus it can make phone calls. My wife and youngest child have an ipad, I never use the things, still don't get them, but they sell by the tens of millions each year.

so this is the headline today on cnbc,

"Here's how long you have to wait for the Apple Watch"

Does anyone know if apple has a deal with cnbc? I mean every single day there is talk about this watch, just like when the iphone came out cnbc was all on top of it like they were tech company, cnbc has to be getting some kind of kickback for these articles that number probably in the hundreds by now on apple products.....

if people have to wait months for this watch it means apple didn't produce as many as they thought they were going to be sold or this could be a hyped headline.... with this news shouldn't apple be up 5% at least.....

Watch went on sale online at 3 a.m. ET Friday, and within less than three hours, almost all of the models were out to late May or later for availability.

As of 8:30 a.m. ET, only one of 38 models appeared to be even potentially available for delivery April 24, with most of the rest showing 4-6 week wait times and some as far out as July.

Incredible ....the media is hyping this up too much....who would be that much of a fool to buy this watch at almost double the price.....I have come to realize this new society has zero patience when it comes to things they want....

COMMENTSApple Watch is already out of stock for people buying it the normal way —but there are plenty for sale on eBay.

As of mid-morning Friday there were already hundreds of listings for "Apple Watch" on the auction site, with some selling briskly.

In order to guarantee the validity of their products, some sellers have gone as far as to put their Apple receipts and pre-order forms online. One ambitious seller bought a watch for $399 and is selling it for $800. Another seller already got $560 for a 42 mm Apple Watch Sport, the same device that Apple sells for $399.

If ordered on Apple's website, buyers might have to wait until July before the watches ship.

So apple did about a million in sales on their new watch, the hype continues, apple can sell anything, I think they did more sales in one day than samsung did in one year....

The predictions for sales on this watch are quite high by most in my opinion....

A range of estimates have flooded in regarding how many Apple Watches will be shipped. JPMorgan predicted that Apple will ship 26.3 million units in 2015, and Bernstein projected that 7.5 million units will be sold in the second half of the year, and 20 million sold in 2016.

Angelo Zino, a senior industry analyst of equity research at S&P Capital IQ, told CNBC that he expected 10 million units to be shipped in 2015.

26 million watches is what jpmorgan predicts??? WHEWWWWWW
bernstein 20 million watches in 2016

how many people really need a watch these days, I wear watches but all my watches are no smart watches....I still don't understand the hype behind a watch, people carry these 6 inch phones and now all of the sudden they want to read email and text and get news and alerts on a 1.4" screen?????
    ZZZZZZZZZZ

Check out this video of this guy ordering his watch int he early morning hours of the launch, he is complaining that he had to refresh the page for 11 mins and that he now has to wait a whole month for his watch.....I think this world needs a real wake up call....

Cant get the video to upload here so here is the link to a video of this guy waking up to order his cool special out of this world apple watch....

I can't go a day without seeing the dozens of articles written on the apple watch, especially now that its out everyone is putting up their personal review and I find them so pathetic and just pointless, this one made me laugh and think there are people who have this watch that are actually forcing themselves to come up with an excuse as to why this watch changed their lives....I was reading one today and here is a piece from the review....

My favorite function so far is texting.
"I love getting text messages on my Apple Watch. It saves me time from pulling out my phone and unlocking my device just to read what someone sent me. Instead, I can get a quick glance at the message on my watch and decide whether I need to respond. And even if I do, I can usually just respond with a canned response or emoji already stored in the Apple Watch. It saves a lot of time."

So in this review he says his favorite function is the texting, so here we have a 1.4" screen and this guy loves the texting feature of the watch??? it "SAVES" him time from pulling out his phone and "UNLOCKING" his device, "JUST TO READ" what someone sent him...and he can send respond with an "EMOJI"
"IT SAVES A LOT OF TIME"

So this is the feature thats the game changer for the industry, all of the sudden taking out your iphone is considered work? You know reaching into your pocked thats 4 inches away to pull out your phone has now become somewhat of a hassle...I love these people who come up with any excuse as to why they need this watch, so $500 for a device that gives you a notification of the notifications you already have on your phone that sits in your pocket.....now I get it.
