  1. Plenty of trading lessons in this.

  2. my recommendation is to watch 'whiplash' if you can
not for "trading lessons" per se but a look at a (fictional) character devoting himself to one mission

Lots of parallels to trading. Hard work, dedication and rigorously applying illegal methods to achieve success. In the case of Kai, it is massive amounts of test, hgh, clenbuterol, t-3 etc...
In trading, it would be insider trading, front running, pumping and dumping.

Sadly, many people these days think that the world owes them something. In reality, the world doesn't owe anybody shit.

The lesson here is simple; take responsibility for yourself. This can and should be applied to every aspect of your life. Trading is just one example.

This video was truly inspirational. Before watching, I thought I wouldn't be interested at all given the topic.

Oddly, the MOST INTERESTING parts of the video were what I would imagine most would find boring. Listening to him talk about something as mundane as buying tupperware, but WHY he thought it was relevant to the show was quite inspiring. Watching him cook in the kitchen, sweating and talking about it was something to see.

Just something else that this video made me think about when I watched it, was how much work this guy seemed to put into becoming one of the top in his field. I would imagine to become one of the few who make it in trading requires a similar amount of dedication(and I'm talking expert play daily, not scraping by making a living).

For years I thought I was putting in that level of work and dedication. Seeing this just reminds me how I am not working nearly hard enough. Time to fix that!

Very true. Moreover, the world is getting more globalized and more competitive. Nobody with average skill is comfortable anymore since someone with the same skill level from third world can offer services cheaper or someone with better skill can offer the same price.

People, especially young people are going to have a hard time unless they put in a lot of work to be really good.
