if anyone in the UK is worried about an election they can just go to the betting parlor and place a bet on a candidate to hedge.

If USA is an example of what a politician can do to a currency, then a liberal president and a dysfunctional congress will strengthen a currency.

otherwise, I just got short eur/gbp with a stop at 7249...so far so good

Life will go on with either of parties winning the election. They both can cause GBP to weaken further or to strengthen by simply stating BOE's intention to keep IR as it is or possibility of it going up sooner rather than later. I don't get too involved in these forecasts. It's easier to just observe what bigger players think about all the number crunching. Let's not forget that individually they can also be wrong/right in their analysis, it's the power of all participants that would ultimately move price one way or the other.

Some have already broken out, some are about to, like Ninja is about to puke and Cable is breaking out now. Now, I am not calling for the end of the run for USD, everything starts with a retracement.

These are the times to make serious $$$

Nice call @romik , personally I bet the other way and shorted at the bottom, good thing I didn't take my usual position size

Do you reckon the dollar bull run is over, or that this is just a temporary setback maybe due to funds taking profits etc on bad US data coming out the past few weeks ?

Love to hear your thoughts since you called the short term direction so well. I trade with similar style.
