This is the latest version of the book that got me going with C# (thanks to a post by someone here on ET!)... http://static1.squarespace.com/stat...4267685/Rob+Miles+CSharp+Yellow+Book+2014.pdf I need now to do the same with C++. What is the best book to learn the basics of C++? Thanks!
IMHO: "Programming: Principles and Practice using C++ (Second Edition)" Addison-Wesley 2014, ISBN 978-0-321-99278-9.
I suggest that you start with C++11; don't bother looking at the older versions. Try this book: http://www.amazon.com/Standard-Libr...ie=UTF8&qid=1427005463&sr=8-16&keywords=c++11
