A hacker needs '70 euros, an average IQ, and a little patience' to steal your info over public wifi

  2. Yeah, so what has the hacker learned? Where I have connected to last? What the name of my computer is? Awesome. By default a lot of internet traffic today is encrypted, so even every last bit and byte rushes through a hacker's machine the data still remains what it is, an encrypted bunch of bits and bytes.

    Of course one has to be mindful, careful and vigilant. But it is hardly true that connecting to a public wifi network exposes our emails and passwords or the likes.

    Agreed on that, they get a lot of useless data, which is no use to anyone else, so wouldn't worry about it.
