I played that game over lunch with my wife, we came up with only 4... Beatles, Rolling Stones, Police, Fleetwood Mac.

Not great.. my rock culture is lacking..

 

sometimes only 1 name was missing...like

The Who, R daltrey, P townsend, K moon, but who's the bass player...

or

Joy Division, I Curtis, B sumners, P hook, but who's the drummer...

 

This would be extremely difficult to do.
